Manuel A. Trujillo, also known as "empty", lived in Taos, NM for the greater part of the first 21 years of his life. During that time he spent, according to his mother, WAY TOO MUCH time reading comic books. Just like any other kid who took in this activity, Manuel also drew many of the characters in those books. At about the age of 10 he made the same mistake most kids make, he tried "growing up" up and being "mature", which of course meant no time for childish things like comic books. A few years later, during his first year of Taos Junior High, he was lucky enough to meet some friends that reminded him how much he enjoyed reading about and drawing those comic characters.
