Article Description

The MVP Disc Sports Glitch is now available in Eclipse plastic. As a hybrid between a catch disc and a disc golf disc, the Glitch combines playful versatility with PDGA approval. With a putter diameter and flight numbers of 1 | 7 | 0 | 0, it delivers exceptional glide with a neutral flight.

The Glitch responds to minimal power, making it suitable for casual catch as well as controlled approaches to the basket. Its neutral flight allows for long, straight lines, while its shape promotes a clean release. Thanks to its tendency to settle close to where it lands, it also performs well as an approach or scramble disc.

Available in weights from 140 g to 154 g, the Glitch remains light and controllable while maintaining enough aerodynamic stability to be useful on the course. The Eclipse plastic adds glow capability to its established flight, making it suitable for low-light rounds as well.

Glow Discs

Glow Discs are disc golf discs made from glow-in-the-dark plastics or plastics with luminescent additives that charge under light and remain visible in low-light conditions. They allow play during dusk, night, or poor lighting without the need for additional markers or external lighting.

The brightness and duration of the glow vary depending on the plastic and color. Flight characteristics generally match those of the standard versions of the respective models, making Glow Discs easy to integrate into an existing bag. Glow discs are available as putters, midranges, fairway drivers, and distance drivers, and are suitable for both casual play and organized glow rounds.

Settings Explanation

This visualization allows you to simulate the disc's flight path based on different throw parameters:

Throw Type: RHBH (Right-Hand Backhand) or LHFH (Left-Hand Forehand) and vice versa. Determines the direction of turn and fade.
Power: Throw speed from 60% to 120%. At correct speed (green), the disc flies according to the values.
Condition: Simulates the disc's condition level. 1/10 = heavily worn (more turn), 10/10 = new (more stable, less turn).
Spread: Displays multiple flight paths with different speeds as a colored fan.
Paths: Choose between all paths or only the path for the selected power setting.

Note: This simulation is based on the manufacturer's specified flight ratings (Speed, Glide, Turn, Fade). Actual flight characteristics may vary from disc to disc within the same mold and are highly dependent on individual throwing style. This visualization serves as a general guideline.
