Speed indicates the speed at which the disc must move relative to the air to achieve the following flight values. The speed value ranges from 1 to 15 with 15 being the highest.
Glide indicates how high the lift of the disc is, which acts against the gravitational pull of the earth. The higher the value, the more lift the disc has. For beginners, higher values are more advantageous, but at the same time they are more susceptible to wind. The Glide value ranges from 1 to 7.
Turn indicates how much the disc resists fade in the first 2/3 of the flight. The turn is available in values from +1 to -6. The further the number is in the minus, the more understable it is and the more it resists the fade. Understable discs are more suitable for beginners because they need less speed to fly further, but they also fly less controlled.
Fade describes how much the disc "makes a turn" in the last third of its flight. Fade ranges from 0 to 5. The smaller the number, the straighter the disc flies. The larger the number, the less susceptible the disc is to wind and is therefore "overstable".
The next release in the Simon Line is ready to go – the Neutron Balance! If you’ve been following the development of this midrange, you’ll know there were three prototypes with subtle differences in stability. This gave Simon a chance to test multiple versions and ultimately select his favorite (V2) for full production – landing with flight numbers of 5 | 5 | 0 | 2.
The Balance slots right between the MVP Reactor and the Axiom Pyro – overstable enough for torque resistance, windy conditions, and a consistent fade, yet flexible enough for shot shaping as a true midrange. High-power players will get a straight flyer with dependable late fade, while lower-power throwers will find a reliably overstable complement to their midrange lineup.
The Balance joins the Pixel and Time-Lapse as part of the Simon Line – personally curated by Simon Lizotte. Grab the newest addition and experience the Simon Line for yourself!
