The Axiom Discs Insanity in Proton is a stable-understable distance driver that can be described as a worn-in version of the MVP Disc Sports Inertia, featuring more high-speed turn and reduced fade for a more controllable flight.

Its defining characteristic is a slow, controlled turn paired with a straight, forward-moving fade. This combination produces long, clean lines with extended carry and accurate finishes.

Average power players will experience a remarkably straight flight, especially on low, controlled drives. Higher power throwers can take advantage of the Insanity for precise hyzer flips, turnover lines, and long gliding shots.

With its strong glide and forward carry at lower speeds, the Insanity is well suited for low-ceiling shots and tailwind drives. It performs especially well for backhand throws, while also being usable for controlled forehand shots.

As a versatile distance driver, the Axiom Discs Insanity offers a balanced mix of turn, glide, and controlled fade for a wide range of distance lines.

Settings Explanation

This visualization allows you to simulate the disc's flight path based on different throw parameters:

  • Throw Type: RHBH (Right-Hand Backhand) or LHFH (Left-Hand Forehand) and vice versa. Determines the direction of turn and fade.
  • Power: Throw speed from 60% to 120%. At correct speed (green), the disc flies according to the values.
  • Condition: Simulates the disc's condition level. 1/10 = heavily worn (more turn), 10/10 = new (more stable, less turn).
  • Spread: Displays multiple flight paths with different speeds as a colored fan.
  • Paths: Choose between all paths or only the path for the selected power setting.

Note: This simulation is based on the manufacturer's specified flight ratings (Speed, Glide, Turn, Fade). Actual flight characteristics may vary from disc to disc within the same mold and are highly dependent on individual throwing style. This visualization serves as a general guideline.
