CD1 is back with a reinvented name in Discmanias new and improved C-Line plastic. Formerly known as CD2, Dismania brought the mold back to the spotlight based on popular demand. The letters “CD” in the name stand for Control Driver, putting the player in the driver’s seat and allowing you full control to manipulate and style the disc exactly how you want it to. CD1 makes for a great first distance driver for less powerful or skilled players and an incredibly useful disc for experts, too. Those with a bit more arm speed will find that this disc often will compete for distance with even their fastest drivers, yet the execution feels more effortless and controlled.
CD1 handles just about any wind condition with ease but is most well suited for tailwinds and calmer weather. Players will notice that the CD1 has the tendency to fly similarly to a well seasoned PD, giving you the right amount of glide and shot shaping options but will always maintain enough stability to end with a smooth low speed fade in the end. If you only had one disc to play a round with, this disc would be an excellent choice.
Good for: Backhand, forehand, tailwind, calm weather, amateur distance driver, expert fairway/distance driver, sneaky sneaky bombs
Discmania, along with Latitude 64° and Kastaplast, is probably one of the best known European disc golf manufacturers based in Finland. Discmania was founded in 2006 and launched its first disc, the MD1, which was manufactured by Innova Champion Discs.
In 2019, the existing line of disc golf discs, henceforth called "Originals", was joined by two other product lines that expanded Discmania's product line. So Discmania had Latitude 64° produce the "Evolution" product line and Yikun Discs produce the "Active" product line.
Both product lines now offer an almost complete range of discs, with the "Active" series being a low-cost option for beginners due to its production in China.
In 2021, the last but the biggest change in Discmania's product range took place. Due to the increased demand for disc golf discs as a result of the boom in the sport during the pandemic and the problem that Innova could hardly keep up with the production of the "Originals" series, Discmania decided to take over the production of the "Originals" series for the first time. In 2021 Discmania opened its own production facility in Sweden, where the "Originals" series was produced from then on. From this point on, the company started to re-release their own bestsellers, starting with discs like the P2 and the MD3. To this day, Discmania still re-releases the old favourites from the Originals series, but also expands the range, as with the forthcoming FD1. Besides the stock releases, Discmania is also known for the signature releases of its pro players like Eagle McMahon or Kyle Klein, who often recombine plastic types with existing moulds.

Excellent grip in all weather conditions with great durability. This plastic ages well, which means that your disc doesn’t change drastically in its flight behaviour after a couple of collisions with trees.
