Article Description

To celebrate the MVP Open 2025, Streamline Discs proudly presents a special edition of the Plasma Shift – once again partnering with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. As with last year, 60% of all proceeds will be donated directly to St. Jude to help fund treatment for children with life-threatening conditions. In 2024, the disc golf community raised over $50,000 – a powerful show of support.

The Shift was chosen for this collaboration because it’s a disc that nearly anyone can throw – a slightly understable fairway driver perfect for hyzer-flips or straight lines, depending on your power level. It’s accessible, consistent, and carries a deeper meaning in this release. The stamp design was inspired by artwork created by a child receiving care at St. Jude, thoughtfully illustrated by veteran designer John Dorn.

Plasma is a advanced disc golf polymer captivates with its shiny metallic plastic core and has very nice color shifts in the selected color options. The highly durable semi-rubber premium plastic compound, is grippy and flexible in dry warm weather. Settings Explanation

This visualization allows you to simulate the disc's flight path based on different throw parameters:

Throw Type: RHBH (Right-Hand Backhand) or LHFH (Left-Hand Forehand) and vice versa. Determines the direction of turn and fade.
Power: Throw speed from 60% to 120%. At correct speed (green), the disc flies according to the values.
Condition: Simulates the disc's condition level. 1/10 = heavily worn (more turn), 10/10 = new (more stable, less turn).
Spread: Displays multiple flight paths with different speeds as a colored fan.
Paths: Choose between all paths or only the path for the selected power setting.

Note: This simulation is based on the manufacturer's specified flight ratings (Speed, Glide, Turn, Fade). Actual flight characteristics may vary from disc to disc within the same mold and are highly dependent on individual throwing style. This visualization serves as a general guideline.
