Article Description
The Axiom Discs Proxy is released as the OTB Open 2026 special edition featuring a triple-foil design by Mike Inscho. The artwork showcases Vitreledonella richardi, also known as Richard the glass octopus. This exclusive run in Proton Soft plastic combines standout visuals with the versatile flight of one of Axiom’s most trusted putters. The swirly rims on these discs create a striking look that makes this release especially desirable.

The Proxy shares the Envy mold core, giving it the same low-profile feel, confident grip, and comfortable hand feel. Its short wing width and broad flight plate help generate impressive glide. Compared to the Envy, the Proxy offers a more neutral flight with a straight to gently fading finish.

A touch of high-speed turn allows the Proxy to handle a wide range of shot shapes and power levels. Stronger throwers can shape straight drives, controlled turnovers, and finesse lines, while lower-power players will appreciate easy straight putter drives. With neutral stability across many speeds, the Proxy is an excellent option for putting, approaches, and throwing duties.

Settings Explanation

This visualization allows you to simulate the disc's flight path based on different throw parameters:

  • Throw Type: RHBH (Right-Hand Backhand) or LHFH (Left-Hand Forehand) and vice versa. Determines the direction of turn and fade.
  • Power: Throw speed from 60% to 120%. At correct speed (green), the disc flies according to the values.
  • Condition: Simulates the disc's condition level. 1/10 = heavily worn (more turn), 10/10 = new (more stable, less turn).
  • Spread: Displays multiple flight paths with different speeds as a colored fan.
  • Paths: Choose between all paths or only the path for the selected power setting.

Note: This simulation is based on the manufacturer's specified flight ratings (Speed, Glide, Turn, Fade). Actual flight characteristics may vary from disc to disc within the same mold and are highly dependent on individual throwing style. This visualization serves as a general guideline.
