Article Description

The MVP Disc Sports Matrix is a precision overstable midrange in the Electron Medium version. It is designed to resist turnover for players of all power levels and in a wide range of situations. For many throwers, the Matrix delivers long, straight travel followed by a dependable fade.

The Matrix is overstable without being an extremely hard-fading midrange. This makes it useful for shots into a headwind, for bringing the disc back from anhyzer angles, and for controlled range shots with a distinct, power-dependent finish. Average-powered throwers will see a healthy ending fade, while advanced power throwers can achieve remarkably long straight travel before the fade.

Release angle makes a significant difference with this midrange. The Matrix can be used effectively on anhyzer, flat, and hyzer releases. MVP describes it as a longer Axiom Envy, giving it a versatile role for controlled midrange shots across a range of distances.

Settings Explanation

This visualization allows you to simulate the disc's flight path based on different throw parameters:

Throw Type: RHBH (Right-Hand Backhand) or LHFH (Left-Hand Forehand) and vice versa. Determines the direction of turn and fade.
Power: Throw speed from 60% to 120%. At correct speed (green), the disc flies according to the values.
Condition: Simulates the disc's condition level. 1/10 = heavily worn (more turn), 10/10 = new (more stable, less turn).
Spread: Displays multiple flight paths with different speeds as a colored fan.
Paths: Choose between all paths or only the path for the selected power setting.
