Description
Article Description

The MVP Disc Sports Matrix in the Classic version, made in Proton plastic, is an overstable midrange designed to resist turnover for players with different power levels. Its stability can be compared to a longer Axiom Envy: for most throwers, it delivers a long, straight flight followed by a dependable fade.

The Matrix is overstable without being an extremely overstable midrange. It has enough stability to handle headwinds, recover reliably from anhyzer angles, and produce a distinctive, power-dependent finishing fade.

Release angle makes a significant difference with this midrange. Anhyzer, flat, and hyzer releases each offer useful flight lines. Average-powered throwers will get a healthy finishing fade, while advanced power throwers can achieve remarkably long straight distance before the disc fades reliably.

MVP Disc Sports

Flight Path

Settings Explanation

This visualization allows you to simulate the disc's flight path based on different throw parameters:

  • Throw Type: RHBH (Right-Hand Backhand) or LHFH (Left-Hand Forehand) and vice versa. Determines the direction of turn and fade.
  • Power: Throw speed from 60% to 120%. At correct speed (green), the disc flies according to the values.
  • Condition: Simulates the disc's condition level. 1/10 = heavily worn (more turn), 10/10 = new (more stable, less turn).
  • Spread: Displays multiple flight paths with different speeds as a colored fan.
  • Paths: Choose between all paths or only the path for the selected power setting.

Note: This simulation is based on the manufacturer's specified flight ratings (Speed, Glide, Turn, Fade). Actual flight characteristics may vary from disc to disc within the same mold and are highly dependent on individual throwing style. This visualization serves as a general guideline.
