Description

Article Description

The Axiom Defy in Eclipse plastic is a stable to overstable distance driver for long, controlled shots. It is suited to both headwinds and powerful throws, providing reliable distance when thrown with speed and power.

The Defy flies straight for a long time while resisting turn, then finishes with a reliable forward-pushing fade. High-power throwers will get a line-locking flight with strong turnover resistance and a fairly straight finish.

Throwers with less power will find the Defy resistant to both turnover and headwinds while still offering manageable stability for maximum distance. It is described as a more stable MVP Photon or a longer Axiom Clash. Like the Clash, it remains highly resistant to turnover even at high power. The Eclipse plastic also makes the Defy suitable for throwing in the dark.

Glow Discs

Glow Discs are disc golf discs made from glow-in-the-dark plastics or plastics with luminescent additives that charge under light and remain visible in low-light conditions. They allow play during dusk, night, or poor lighting without the need for additional markers or external lighting.

The brightness and duration of the glow vary depending on the plastic and color. Flight characteristics generally match those of the standard versions of the respective models, making Glow Discs easy to integrate into an existing bag. Glow discs are available as putters, midranges, fairway drivers, and distance drivers, and are suitable for both casual play and organized glow rounds.

Settings Explanation

This visualization allows you to simulate the disc's flight path based on different throw parameters:

Throw Type: RHBH (Right-Hand Backhand) or LHFH (Left-Hand Forehand) and vice versa. Determines the direction of turn and fade.
Power: Throw speed from 60% to 120%. At correct speed (green), the disc flies according to the values.
Condition: Simulates the disc's condition level. 1/10 = heavily worn (more turn), 10/10 = new (more stable, less turn).
Spread: Displays multiple flight paths with different speeds as a colored fan.
Paths: Choose between all paths or only the path for the selected power setting.

Note: This simulation is based on the manufacturer's specified flight ratings (Speed, Glide, Turn, Fade). Actual flight characteristics may vary from disc to disc within the same mold and are highly dependent on individual throwing style. This visualization serves as a general guideline.
