Description
Article Description

The classic Fission version of the Hex from Axiom Discs is a versatile midrange with a mesmerizingly straight flight. It earns a place in any bag as a reliably straight-flying disc for a wide range of situations.

At higher arm speeds, the Hex produces slightly understable lines when thrown flat. Its dependable fade keeps it from turning over completely. At lower arm speeds, the disc offers enough turn to make shaping lines easy and controlled.

Whether you need control in the woods or a versatile line shaper for different shot shapes, the Hex combines a straight flight with dependable control.

Flight Path

Settings Explanation

This visualization allows you to simulate the disc's flight path based on different throw parameters:

  • Throw Type: RHBH (Right-Hand Backhand) or LHFH (Left-Hand Forehand) and vice versa. Determines the direction of turn and fade.
  • Power: Throw speed from 60% to 120%. At correct speed (green), the disc flies according to the values.
  • Condition: Simulates the disc's condition level. 1/10 = heavily worn (more turn), 10/10 = new (more stable, less turn).
  • Spread: Displays multiple flight paths with different speeds as a colored fan.
  • Paths: Choose between all paths or only the path for the selected power setting.

Note: This simulation is based on the manufacturer's specified flight ratings (Speed, Glide, Turn, Fade). Actual flight characteristics may vary from disc to disc within the same mold and are highly dependent on individual throwing style. This visualization serves as a general guideline.
