Article Description

The Axiom Virus is an understable distance driver and the easiest-to-throw distance driver in the Axiom lineup. High glide and responsive understability keep the disc in the air, making it an excellent choice for players with developing arm speed as well as experienced throwers.

Its defining flight characteristic is a consistent turnover followed by a gentle forward fade. Players with lower power can achieve effortless distance and shape long lines, while power throwers can create long hyzer-flips, extended turnovers, and controlled flex shots. The Virus also performs exceptionally well in tailwind conditions.

Whether thrown with reduced power, from a standstill, or at full speed, the Virus remains highly workable. By adjusting release height, players can produce towering distance lines or low ceiling shots with confidence. It also serves as an excellent complement to more stable drivers such as the Insanity and Wrath.

Settings Explanation

This visualization allows you to simulate the disc's flight path based on different throw parameters:

Throw Type: RHBH (Right-Hand Backhand) or LHFH (Left-Hand Forehand) and vice versa. Determines the direction of turn and fade.
Power: Throw speed from 60% to 120%. At correct speed (green), the disc flies according to the values.
Condition: Simulates the disc's condition level. 1/10 = heavily worn (more turn), 10/10 = new (more stable, less turn).
Spread: Displays multiple flight paths with different speeds as a colored fan.
Paths: Choose between all paths or only the path for the selected power setting.
