Article Description

The Insanity in Neutron plastic is best described as a worn-in MVP Inertia, with slightly more high-speed turn and a diminished fade. For average power throwers, it flies remarkably straight, while high-power throwers can execute precise flip and turnover lines with ease.

Its defining flight characteristic is slow turn combined with a straight fade. The softened shapes are designed to mimic a worn Inertia, allowing the Insanity to execute certain Inertia lines with less power while providing a little more turn and a noticeably more neutral fade portion than the Inertia. It is suited both to players seeking that sweet-spot worn-disc flight and to those looking for bigger Inertia lines with less effort.

High-power throwers will find enhanced glide and forward carry at low speeds, making the Insanity useful for a variety of low-ceiling shots and higher tailwind-riding lines. Average power throwers can benefit from low-height drives that gain distance while retaining enough stability for easy range control.

The Insanity is best suited to backhand drives, as well as highly skilled forehands or beginner-power forehands. Its high-speed turn excels for hyzer-flip drives, turnovers, smooth-power flat shots, and a variety of utility and tailwind lines.

Settings Explanation

This visualization allows you to simulate the disc's flight path based on different throw parameters:

  • Throw Type: RHBH (Right-Hand Backhand) or LHFH (Left-Hand Forehand) and vice versa. Determines the direction of turn and fade.
  • Power: Throw speed from 60% to 120%. At correct speed (green), the disc flies according to the values.
  • Condition: Simulates the disc's condition level. 1/10 = heavily worn (more turn), 10/10 = new (more stable, less turn).
  • Spread: Displays multiple flight paths with different speeds as a colored fan.
  • Paths: Choose between all paths or only the path for the selected power setting.

Note: This simulation is based on the manufacturer's specified flight ratings (Speed, Glide, Turn, Fade). Actual flight characteristics may vary from disc to disc within the same mold and are highly dependent on individual throwing style. This visualization serves as a general guideline.
