The Axiom Discs Insanity in the OTB Open 2026 Prism Proton Soft edition, illustrated by Marm O. Set, pairs distinctive artwork with a versatile 9-speed distance driver. Featuring a stable-understable flight, the Insanity is built for controlled distance and workable turn.

The Insanity can be described as a worn-in MVP Inertia, offering slightly more high-speed turn and reduced fade. For average power throwers, it flies remarkably straight. High-power players can execute precise hyzer-flips and controlled turnovers with ease. Its defining flight characteristic is a slow, controllable turn paired with a straight, neutral fade, allowing Inertia-like lines with less required power.

Power throwers will notice enhanced glide and forward carry at lower speeds, making it useful for low-ceiling shots and tailwind-assisted lines. Average power players benefit from low-height drives that gain distance while retaining enough stability for accurate ranging.

The Insanity is best suited for backhand drives, as well as technically clean or lower-power forehands. Its high-speed turn excels for hyzer-flips, turnovers, smooth flat releases, and a variety of tailwind and utility shots.

Settings Explanation

This visualization allows you to simulate the disc's flight path based on different throw parameters:

  • Throw Type: RHBH (Right-Hand Backhand) or LHFH (Left-Hand Forehand) and vice versa. Determines the direction of turn and fade.
  • Power: Throw speed from 60% to 120%. At correct speed (green), the disc flies according to the values.
  • Condition: Simulates the disc's condition level. 1/10 = heavily worn (more turn), 10/10 = new (more stable, less turn).
  • Spread: Displays multiple flight paths with different speeds as a colored fan.
  • Paths: Choose between all paths or only the path for the selected power setting.

Note: This simulation is based on the manufacturer's specified flight ratings (Speed, Glide, Turn, Fade). Actual flight characteristics may vary from disc to disc within the same mold and are highly dependent on individual throwing style. This visualization serves as a general guideline.
