The Axiom Discs Insanity in Plasma plastic delivers the flight of a worn-in MVP Inertia with slightly more high-speed turn and a reduced fade. Its softened shapes were designed to mimic the flight of a seasoned Inertia. As a result, the Insanity requires less power for certain Inertia lines and produces a little more turn with a noticeably more neutral fade.

Players with average power will find the Insanity remarkably straight. Higher-power throwers can execute precise flip and turnover lines with ease. It also offers the sweet-spot flight of a worn disc while making it possible to achieve bigger Inertia lines with less power.

High-power throwers will benefit from enhanced glide and forward carry at low speeds. This makes the Insanity useful for a variety of low-ceiling shots and lines that ride a tailwind for additional distance. Average-power throwers will get the most from low-height drives that gain distance while retaining enough stability for easy range control.

The Insanity is especially well suited to backhand drives. It can also be used effectively for highly skilled forehands and for forehands from players with beginner-level power. Its high-speed turn excels on hyzer-flip drives, turnovers, smooth-power flat throws, and a variety of utility and tailwind shots.

Settings Explanation

This visualization allows you to simulate the disc's flight path based on different throw parameters:

  • Throw Type: RHBH (Right-Hand Backhand) or LHFH (Left-Hand Forehand) and vice versa. Determines the direction of turn and fade.
  • Power: Throw speed from 60% to 120%. At correct speed (green), the disc flies according to the values.
  • Condition: Simulates the disc's condition level. 1/10 = heavily worn (more turn), 10/10 = new (more stable, less turn).
  • Spread: Displays multiple flight paths with different speeds as a colored fan.
  • Paths: Choose between all paths or only the path for the selected power setting.

Note: This simulation is based on the manufacturer's specified flight ratings (Speed, Glide, Turn, Fade). Actual flight characteristics may vary from disc to disc within the same mold and are highly dependent on individual throwing style. This visualization serves as a general guideline.
